The Georgia State Rehabilitation Council (SRC) is a federally mandated oversight body appointed by the Governor to represent a broad range of individuals with disabilities as well as non-disabled stakeholders including family members, employers, counselors, and educators. The SRC collaborates with the GVRA to develop plans for services and make recommendations to assist people with disabilities achieve employment and independence.

The Employment First Council is made up of 14 Georgians with disabilities and those who support them through community organizations or roles in state agencies. Chaired by the GVRA’s executive director, the role of the EFC is to make recommendations to the Office of the Governor and the General Assembly for policies and legislation that align with inclusive, competitive employment for people with disabilities.
