Deaf, Deaf-Blind, and Hard of Hearing Services
The Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA) employs dozens of counselors who are specially trained to work and communicate with people who are deaf, deaf-blind or hard of hearing. The agency provides services that enable these clients to secure and maintain competitive integrated employment.
The GVRA also runs Cave Spring Center, a residential campus in northwest Georgia that offers hearing impaired Georgians a collegial experience in a customized environment.
Deaf, Deaf-Blind and Hard of Hearing clients may receive all general vocational rehabilitation services. Services are individualized and, depending upon a person's needs, may include the following:
- Guidance and Counseling
- Vocational Training
- Post-Secondary Education
- Interpreting Services
- Provision of Hearing Aids and Other Adaptive Devices
- Adjustment Services Training
- Technology Services
- Job Placement
- Physical Restoration
- Information and Referral
