(Updated Page) Transition Services

GVRA provides Transition Services to help potentially eligible and VR eligible students move from high school into further education, training, and to competitive integrated employment. It’s never too early to start planning next steps, and we want to help make that planning process as smooth as possible.  GVRA offers Transition Services for Georgians starting at the age 14. These services can begin with Pre-Employment Transition Services and can lead to the student becoming a VR customer. The GVRA Transition team consists of specialized Transition Coordinators, Supervisors, Counselors and Transition Liaisons as well as local high school teachers, school counselors, family members and the students. A VR Transition Counselor can become involved early in the transition planning process. A potentially eligible student may apply for VR serves, and once determined eligible for services, will have assistance developing a career goal and participating in work-related activities that will help the student meet that goal.
