Meet the Hearing Services Team

Russell Fleming: State Coordinator for VR Services for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind Consumers

Prior to his role as State Coordinator, Russell was the Senior Manager for one of GVRA's residential facilities, the Cave Spring Center, for 12 years. Prior to that, he served as Dean of Students and Interim Superintendent at the Georgia School for the Deaf. Russell has a master's degree in Adult Education from the University of Georgia and B.S. in Management and Marketing from Athens State University in Alabama. He is one of the founders of the Georgia Council for the Hearing Impaired which is now the Georgia Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Russell has served for over 25 years in several organizations supporting and advocating for people with hearing loss in Georgia. Russell provides support, consultations, and training to GVRA employees and other organizations/programs to assure Georgia VR Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deaf-Blind participants and clients are being served appropriately to obtain employment in Georgia.
