Get Ready for Opportunities in Work (GROW)

Summer GROW 2024

Students looking for an opportunity to explore work and post-secondary education opportunities may now apply to participate in 4 days experience this summer on the campus of the Roosevelt Warm Springs (RWS) Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center.  

Students will join their peers in work-based learning, career exploration and self-advocacy activities, all as part of the Get Ready for Opportunities in Work (GROW) program.  If you are interested in the RWS GROW Program, please complete the residential camp application no later than April 11, 2025.

Criteria:

  • Pre-ETS permission form
  • Current IEP or 504 Plan
  • Enrollment in High School 
  • Independent in all daily living activities
  • Able to ambulate and navigate campus
  • Able to self-monitor behavior

What to expect:

  • Tour post-secondary programs and local industries
  • Visit 8 Career Pathways offered at RWS
  • Complete vocational assessments
  • Develop a transition resource toolkit
  • Enjoy cookouts and other fun activities

Dates available in 2025 are:

  • June 16th – 19th (18-21 years of age)
