Roosevelt Warm Springs Graduate Success: Caleb Williams
When Caleb Williams graduated from the Light Electrical Pathway at Roosevelt Warm Springs in May, he never imagined he would one day return to the historic campus. Because Caleb had such a wonderful experience at RWS the first time he matriculated, he has decided to pursue additional post-secondary education in January of 2026.
“My experiences with GVRA and Roosevelt Warm Springs have been amazing,” Caleb shared. “All the staff I have interacted with have been kind and thoughtful. Staff listened carefully to my goals and desires. They helped identify my strengths and they placed me in services that have helped me become the best version of myself.”
When asked how he learned about GVRA, Caleb said the Paulding County School District’s transition specialist introduced him to the agency. Once he was eligible for services, Trish Lindsey, a counselor in the Rome office, assisted with Caleb’s transition to RWS. During his counseling sessions, Caleb explained he did not yet have a driver’s license, but that he would like to be able to drive. To address Caleb’s transportation concerns, Lindsey arranged for Caleb to participate in a driving course through ACE Driving School. Caleb successfully completed the program, so he now possesses a Georgia driver’s license. “Obtaining my driver’s license was a proud day for me,” Caleb stated. “It’s a big step in helping me become independent.”
Upon graduating from RWS, Caleb interviewed for a position with FedEx in Kennesaw. He accepted a position as a package handler, which has enabled him to learn about the logistics industry. On a typical day, he distributes inventory from trucks to automated machines. “Working at FedEx has given me a chance to use my superpowers such as my excellent memory and my attention to detail. However, I am grateful for the opportunity to return to RWS,” Caleb commented. “I’m sure pursuing the Heavy Equipment Operator pathway will open new doors. I’m excited to be returning to Roosevelt Warm Springs,” he concluded.
Khalilah Williams, Caleb’s mom, echoed Caleb’s sentiments regarding his return to RWS in January 2026. “Caleb is constantly singing the praises of GVRA and Roosevelt Warm Springs,” she exclaimed. “My husband and I are grateful for the services Caleb has received thus far, and we support his decision to return to RWS. We know great things are in store for him.”
