GVRA and SWTCIE Sponsor National ACRE Customized Employment Training at Roosevelt Warm Springs
The Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) training was held this month at the Roosevelt Warm Springs campus. The training was sponsored by the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA) and the Subminimum Wage Employment to Competitive Integrated Employment (SWTCIE) project.
Led by Corey Smith of Griffin-Hammis Associates, a consulting firm specializing in customized employment training nationwide, the training brought together a cohort of 11 participants, including nine provider representatives and two GVRA employees.
The training equipped employment specialists and vocational rehabilitation staff with the foundational knowledge and skills needed to deliver quality customized employment services to people with disabilities.
Congratulations to SWTCIE Grant Project Specialist Michelle Wolf and Provider Relations Supervisor Christopher Perkins on becoming certified through the National ACRE Training program!
