Move-In Day Marks the Start of a New Semester at Roosevelt Warm Springs and Cave Spring Center

A new semester is underway at Roosevelt Warm Springs (RWS) and Cave Spring Center as students arrive ready to begin the next step in their vocational rehabilitation journey.

This semester, 108 students moved into Roosevelt Warm Springs, while 16 students arrived at Cave Spring Center. In addition, two students enrolled in the Blind Enterprise Program (BEP) are beginning training as they develop the skills and experience needed for future success.

Move-in Day marked the exciting beginning of a semester filled with opportunity, growth, and new possibilities. Students are returning to campus eager to build workforce skills, explore career pathways, and work toward greater independence and meaningful employment.

During his visit to campus, Executive Director Dr. Kirk Shook, met with students, families, and staff and reflected on the importance of the work taking place at Roosevelt Warm Springs.

 At the Cave Spring Center campus, GVRA's Rebecca Williamson, Jessica Freeman, and Jantry Hairston welcomed and assisted students during admissions. 

"Every student who arrives on our campuses brings unique strengths, goals, and potential," said Dr. Shook. "We're committed to providing the training, support, and opportunities that help individuals with disabilities build meaningful careers and achieve greater independence. I'm excited to see all that our students will accomplish this semester."

As the semester begins, Roosevelt Warm Springs and Cave Spring Center remain committed to equipping students with the skills, confidence, and support they need to achieve their goals. We look forward to celebrating their accomplishments and the many successes they will achieve in the months ahead.
