Roosevelt Warm Springs Celebrates 112 Graduates During Spring 2026 Ceremony
The Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA) celebrated an important milestone today as 112 students with disabilities graduated from Roosevelt Warm Springs (RWS) during its Spring 2026 Graduation Ceremony on the historic campus.
The graduating class earned more than 600 industry-recognized certifications in high-demand career fields, including Auto Detailing, Certified Nursing Assistant, Construction Jumpstart, Heavy Equipment Operator, Hospitality, Landscape Maintenance, Logistics-Forklift/Warehouse, Pharmacy Technician, and Retail, which prepare students for employment opportunities and greater independence. The number of certifications earned marks the highest ever achieved by students at RWS. Four students also earned Pharmacy Technician licenses, qualifying them to work at any pharmacy in the state of Georgia.
“Today’s ceremony celebrates more than graduation; it reflects the determination, growth, and accomplishments of each student who completed their training and earned valuable certifications,” said Roosevelt Warm Springs Residential Director Todd McRae. “We are proud to see our graduates take this next step with the skills, confidence, and support needed to pursue meaningful careers and greater independence.”
Family members, instructors, community leaders, partners, and supporters gathered to recognize the accomplishments of the Class of 2026 as graduates from communities across Georgia crossed the stage. The largest number of graduates came from Fulton, Gwinnett, Hall, Paulding, and Troup counties.
During the ceremony, graduate Kaiden Mashak, a student in the Construction Jumpstart program, reflected on his experience at RWS and shared how the program helped prepare him for a career in construction that he enjoys and sees himself being successful in. “My time at Roosevelt Warm Springs helped build my confidence, life skills, and interaction with others,” Mashak said. “It’s an experience I will never forget.”
The ceremony highlighted RWS’s continued commitment to education, career training, and workforce development opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Operated by GVRA, Roosevelt Warm Springs and the Cave Spring Center in Cave Spring, Georgia, help equip students with the skills and certifications needed to pursue meaningful careers and more independent lives.
