GVRA Connects with Job Seekers at Cobb Works Neurodiversity Career Resource Fair
GVRA staff recently represented the agency at the Neurodiversity Career Fair at Cobb Works in Mableton, welcoming 43 potential clients to the GVRA table.
Johnathan Taylor (Transition Program Coordinator), along with Melodie Nelson (VR Transition) and Kimberly Lewis (Transition Liaison) shared information about GVRA services and helped attendees learn how vocational rehabilitation can support their employment goals.
“It was a great opportunity to connect with individuals in the community and show them that GVRA is here to support their journey to employment,” said Taylor. “You could really see the impact just by having conversations and offering guidance.”
During the event, GVRA staff also provided hands-on support by assisting one participant with a mock interview, offering valuable feedback to build confidence and job readiness skills.
Cobb Works is a workforce development initiative that connects job seekers with employers, training, and career resources in Cobb County. Events like this create valuable opportunities for individuals with disabilities to access support, explore careers, and engage with inclusive employers.
