Partnerships with agencies such as GVRA are important because they connect individuals with disabilities to a broader network of support, resources, and opportunities. GVRA’s mission is to serve Georgians with disabilities and empower them to live independently and Turning Point, Inc. builds on that to provide additional support that helps individuals build confidence and take practical steps toward independence.

On a daily basis, services and activities may include assisting clients with workplace communication, interview preparation, building resumes, explore job interests, and understanding professional expectations. Support may also focus on building essential work habits such as punctuality, hygiene, transportation planning, and task completion.

Staff may also support clients through community-based activities such as visiting local businesses, practicing money management, participating in volunteer or work-based learning opportunities, attending appointments, learning self-advocacy skills, and strengthening social interaction in real-world settings. These activities are designed to help clients gain confidence, increase independence, and apply learned skills in everyday life.

Together, this kind of partnership can create a coordinated support system for clients. GVRA can help connect individuals to vocational rehabilitation resources, employment planning, and transition support, while Turning Point, Inc. can reinforce those goals through day-to-day coaching, skill development, community participation, and consistent encouragement.
