GVRA Launches Fall 2026 Internship Program
The Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA) has officially launched its Fall 2026 Internship Program, welcoming eight interns from Auburn University, Georgia State University, and Thomas University.
The eight candidates underwent a comprehensive screening and interview process with GVRA’s Human Resources team on April 30, 2026. Selections were finalized in June, with interns beginning their placements during the Fall 2026 semester.
The interns officially began their GVRA experience on Monday, August 17, with their first day focused on New Hire Orientation at GVRA’s 200 Piedmont Avenue office in Atlanta.
Training and Organizational Development Manager Jessica Johnson and HR Business Partner Hadya Hasib welcomed the new interns and helped kick off their GVRA journey. Johnson led the New Hire Orientation, providing an overview of the agency’s history, mission, and values, while highlighting the important role interns will play as members of the GVRA team.
The Fall 2026 internship program provides students with an opportunity to gain valuable professional experience, develop their skills, and learn firsthand about GVRA’s mission to support Georgians with disabilities in achieving meaningful employment and greater independence.
