GVRA Celebrates the One-Year Anniversary of the Bud McCall Grant

On January 22, the one-year anniversary of the Bud McCall Post-Secondary Vocational Rehabilitation Grant will be marked, a significant milestone in supporting students with disabilities who are pursuing higher education and vocational training.
The Bud McCall Grant offers essential financial support to eligible students, providing up to $7,395 for tuition, $9,430 for maintenance (including room, board, and meals), and $900 for books annually.
Formerly known as the Post-Secondary Training Support Grant, the grant is named in memory of Bud McCall, the son of former State Representative Tom McCall and current GVRS Board Member Jane McCall. Bud was born with a wide range of disabilities, and the grant is a tribute to his resilience and the McCall family’s unwavering dedication to improving opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
From July 1, 2024, to January 15, 2025, a total of $2,709,595 was allocated for the Bud McCall Grant, benefiting 549 students.
