GVRA Day Energizes Students at Columbus State University
Nearly 90 high school juniors and seniors visited Columbus State University (CSU) on March 27 for GVRA Day! The event kicked off with a lively welcome from the CSU cheer team and President Dr. Stuart Rayfield, who encouraged students to explore workshops, campus tours, and think boldly about their future careers. Inspiring remarks from CSU Student Government President Aniya Wilson and blind-low vision student Sean Strasser set a motivational tone for the day.
Throughout the event, students participated in interactive workshops on self-advocacy, financial literacy, work-based learning, and career exploration, including a session introducing the Pathful platform for career readiness.
A big thank-you to all the providers, GVRA staff, and Columbus State University for hosting this impactful and inspiring day!
