GVRA Day at the Capitol – Building Awareness Through Education

Georgia State Capitol Building

GVRA is bringing its mission to the Capitol for a day focused on awareness, collaboration, and impact. During GVRA Day at the Capitol, GVRA staff and provider partners will connect with legislators and Capitol visitors to share information about our services and highlight how vocational rehabilitation supports individuals with disabilities across Georgia.

We’re proud to be joined by many of our dedicated providers, including AgrAbility, BlazeSports, Bobby Dodd Institute, CTI, Fodac, the Georgia Association of Training, Government and Supports (GATES), Goodwill of Southern Rivers, New Ventures, and Shepherd Center. Together, we will showcase the wide range of services available and the real-world difference these partnerships make in communities across the state.

Adding to the excitement, over 50 students from the Roosevelt Warm Springs Comprehensive Center and the Cave Spring Center will also attend GVRA Day at the Capitol for a special tour. Students will have the opportunity to learn more about GVRA and the services offered through both the agency and its network of providers, giving them a firsthand look at the resources and supports available as they prepare for their future goals.

GVRA Day at the Capitol is an exciting opportunity to spread awareness, strengthen relationships, and celebrate the work being done every day to empower Georgians with disabilities statewide.
