GVRA and Partners Highlight Vocational Rehabilitation at the Capitol
GVRA recently brought its mission to the Capitol for a day centered on awareness, collaboration, and impact during GVRA Day at the Capitol. The event provided an opportunity for GVRA staff and provider partners to connect with legislators and Capitol visitors, share information about agency services, and highlight the vital role vocational rehabilitation plays in supporting individuals with disabilities across Georgia.
GVRA staff was pleased to stand alongside many of our dedicated provider partners, including AgrAbility, BlazeSports America, Bobby Dodd Institute, CTI, FODAC, Georgia Association of Training, Government and Supports (GATES), Goodwill of Southern Rivers, New Ventures, and Shepherd Center. Together, we showcased the wide range of services available and demonstrated the meaningful impact these partnerships have in communities throughout the state.
More than 50 students from the Roosevelt Warm Springs Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center and Cave Spring also participated in GVRA Day at the Capitol through a special tour experience. Students learned more about GVRA and explored the services offered through both the agency and its provider network, gaining valuable information about resources and supports available as they prepare for their future goals.
The day was a meaningful opportunity to strengthen relationships, increase awareness, and celebrate the ongoing work to empower Georgians with disabilities statewide.
