Students Earn More than 400 Industry-Recognized Certifications at Graduation

NOVEMBER 21, 2025 – Warm Springs, Ga. – Celebration and pride filled the Roosevelt Warm Springs Campus recently as the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA) honored 97 students with disabilities who successfully completed their training at the Roosevelt Warm Springs Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center. The ceremony marked the conclusion of months of hands-on learning, academic achievement, and remarkable personal growth.

Held on the historic Warm Springs campus, the event brought together families, friends, teachers, and staff to recognize the accomplishments of graduates representing 55 counties across Georgia.

Collectively, the class earned an impressive 426 industry-recognized credentials spanning Hospitality, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Heavy Equipment Operation, Logistics, Light Electrical/Carpentry, and more. Many students overcame significant personal challenges along their vocational journey, making the ceremony not only a recognition of academic success but also a celebration of resilience, determination, and the pursuit of independence.

“I was thrilled to watch each graduate walk across the stage and receive the certification they worked so hard to earn,” said RWS Residential Director Chip Medders. “This semester was an outstanding success, with more than 400 certifications awarded and every CNA student passing their exams. Our staff and instructors deserve tremendous credit for their dedication to each student’s success.”

Founded in 1927 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt to treat polio patients, Roosevelt Warm Springs has since transformed into a leading center for vocational rehabilitation. Today, the campus offers students with disabilities a range of career pathways in high-demand fields, all within a supportive, college-like environment.

Operated by GVRA, both Roosevelt Warm Springs and the Cave Spring Center in Rome remain committed to empowering Georgians with disabilities through education, training, and comprehensive support services. Today’s graduation served as a powerful reminder of that mission—and of the bright futures that lie ahead for the Class of 2025.
