CVS/Retail

Program Description

The CVS/Retail Pathway is a 16-week program with classroom instruction and an internship at a community CVS or retail store. Additional retail certificates are offered in this program. 

  • Program Criteria

    Clients participating in the CVS/Retail program must have: 

    • 3rd/4th grade reading level or above
    • Physical ability to perform job tasks 
  • Training and Experience

    Clients will have classroom training, stackable certifications opportunities, and hand-on training at the community CVS store. Other internships may be available. 

    RWS student along with a teacher working on cash register.
  • Career Outcomes

    Clients completing the CVS/Retail Pathway are prepared for careers in this field such as cashier; stock clerk; unloader; inventory clerk; sales associate; customer service representative; loss prevention
    officer; visual merchandiser; and team/lead management.

  • Certifications

    Certifications may be earned via NRF (National Retail Foundation) Rise Up - Retail Industry Fundamentals; Business of Retail; Customer Service and Sales. Additionally, students earn certificates from competition of the CVS Cognitopia modules.
