
From Classroom to Career-Ready: Roosevelt Warm Springs Graduates Celebrate Success

On May 23, the Roosevelt Warm Springs Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center graduates proudly walked across the stage, marking a significant milestone in their journey from classroom to career. A total of 87 students earned an impressive 380 credentials and certifications across eight high-demand career pathways:
- Landscape Maintenance and Design
- Heavy Equipment Operation
- Light Electrical and Carpentry
- Logistics – Forklift/Warehouse
- CVS/Retail
- Auto Detailing
- Hospitality
- Certified Nursing Assistant
During the graduation ceremony, Niki Watts, the Assistant Director of Vocational Services, delivered an inspiring address to the class. Amaya Poole, a graduate from the CVS/Retail pathway, shared a heartfelt reflection on her experiences. Poole is currently interviewing for a position in retail.
Graduates are already seeing the impact of their hard work and training: five are currently undergoing job interviews, one is preparing to take the entrance exam with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), and six have already been hired in industries such as retail, healthcare, hospitality, and heavy equipment operation.
"Our staff at RWS pour care and determination into our programs. I'm especially grateful to Director Chris Wells—his support is truly unmatched—as well as his entire leadership team and everyone at GVRA for their continued commitment and collaboration." says RWS Director Dennis "Chip" Medders during his speech at the graduation.
This graduation is a testament to the students' dedication and the comprehensive vocational training offered at Roosevelt Warm Springs, which empowers students with skills that translate directly into meaningful employment.
