GVRA joins other state agencies in closely following updates related to COVID-19, commonly known as the Coronavirus. At this time, state operations continue as normal, though as always, any individual exhibiting signs of illness should take sick leave and follow all the other precautions advised by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Department of Public Health (DPH). We are aware that Fulton County Schools opted to close for cleaning out of an abundance of caution. If this closure creates a child care situation for a GVRA staff member, annual leave should be requested through the employee's supervisor.

We urge all staff and our clients to take preventative measures as advised by healthcare experts, like frequent hand washing, use of hand sanitizer where water is unavailable, and refraining from touching your face. Employees should direct any questions regarding annual or sick leave to their supervisor or Human Resources.
