Additional GVRA Locations to Reopen Following Hurricane Michael

(UPDATED SATURDAY 9:30 a.m. to include Tifton VR Office)

With power and internet connectivity restored to our Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) offices in Swainsboro and Tifton and our VR and Disability Adjudication Services (DAS) offices in Thomasville, these sites will reopen to serve our clients Monday, 10.15.18. If any of our coworkers in these offices are unable to be onsite due to home damage or power outages, please contact your manager to make arrangements.

Our Albany office will remain closed. Restoration of power is anticipated during the day Monday. Our coworkers will receive an update by email at a later time on the status of their worksite for Tuesday.

Georgia Industries for the Blind (GIB) appears to have sustained no structural damage but suffered the most significant impact of our locations. To allow time for cleanup, repairs and restoration of power, GIB will cease operations through Friday, 10.19.18, with a determination for the following week to be made then.
